WEEK ONE
- 8 hours of work
- 1 hour planning day/talking to Joanne
- 2 hours reading over client information. Looking at websites, reading social media posts, trying to develop a proper understanding of who each client is.
- 1 hour researching to write an article for Seasons Aged Care
- 1 hour writing a media release for Seasons Aged Care
- 1 hour researching possible distribution locations- relevant websites for aged care news
- 1 hour writing a radio script for Envigor Aged Care
- 1 hour writing questions for Joanne to take to an interview- the answers to this interview were published in an article on Brisbane Times website
WEEK TWO
- 8 hours of work
- 1 hour planning day/ talking to Joanne
- 1.25 hour creating content and scheduling social media posts for New Horizons Fitness- 10 posts
- 1.25 hour creating content and scheduling social media posts for Marine Team Australia- 10 posts
- 1.5 hours designing Easter graphics for clients to post on social media accounts
- 2 hours doing data entry of business card information for zanthii contact list for newsletter distribution
- 1 hour calling local newsrooms to follow up media releases that had been sent
WEEK THREE
- 8 hours of work
- 1 hour of planning day tasks
- 1.5 hours researching boating industry to write blog post for Marine Team Australia
- 1 hour writing blog post for Marine Team Australia
- 1 hour writing ‘about us’ page for Marine Team Australia
- 1 hour spent rewriting a recent media release for Seasons Aged Care
- 1.5 hours spent looking through PR wire for any relevant opportunities to submit media releases
WEEK FOUR
- 8 hours of work
- 1 hour of planning day tasks- talking to Joanne
- 2.5 hours of scheduling Facebook posts for New Horizons Fitness and Professionals Newlands Real Estate. This included researching relevant articles to post or content that linked back to each clients website.
- 1.5 hours creating LinkedIn page for Zanthii
- 2 hours going through content on Zanthii Facebook page and clients Facebook page taking screenshots and grabbing links to appropriate content- this took a while as Joanne wanted to ensure nothing was missed
- 1 hour looking for websites to post media releases too
WEEK FIVE
- 8 hours of work
- 1 hour or organising and planning day tasks
- 2 hours looking for websites that posted anything to do with aged care- tried to develop a media list for aged care specific publications (newspapers not aged care specific websites as we already have contacts for these)
- 2 hours researching and building a LinkedIn Page for Marine Team Australia
- 1 hour creating Gumtree ad for New Horizons Fitness
- 2 hours researching and developing content for New Horizons Fitness and Professionals Local Real Estate– 5 posts per page
WEEK SIX
- 8 hours of work
- 1 hour of organisation / administrative planning- Joanne outline tasks for the day
- 2 hours of researching and writing media release for Seasons Aged Care- Iris the 100 year old love guru- was published on Daily Mail, Courier Mail and received a 5 minute segment on The Morning Show
- 2 hours of researching and rewriting a media release and bio for Carolyn. Went through emails Jo had sent me about what she wanted for the bio/ media release.
- 3 hours of going through emails and previous articles to generate research for a pitch. Joanne wanted me to thoroughly decipher the information and conversations to try and develop an appropriate pitch. I then wrote the pitch for Jo to send to Suzi Dent/ Barter card
WEEK SEVEN
- 5 hours of work today as I had to leave early for the presentation
- 1 hour of organisational/administrative work- Joanne outlining my tasks for the day and planning how to do my work
- 2 hours of scheduling social media posts- 10 posts each for New Horizons Fitness, Professionals Newlands Real Estate and Marine Team Australia
- 2 hours of researching and writing a media release for Suzi Dent- Mrs Earth Australia
